Let's see:
hybrid............................................ .check
1.0-liter three-cylinder engine............check
direct injected..................................check
dual CVVT........................................check
turbocharged...................................che ck
six-speed dual clutch transmission......check
lithium polymer batteries from LG.......check
small and insanely aerodynamic..........check
I would guess we are talking at least 70 mpg on regular gas. Apparently Hyundai will be putting this technology combined with an all aluminum body to save on weight and possibly a plug in version soon.
Things will be interesting to see where Hyundai goes in the next 5 years, especially since LG Chem is going to have improved their batteries by 2 generations in that time.
