View Full Version : Will VOLT undermine school prayer?
CoulterColbert 04-25-2008, 03:24 AM If the Volt and Prius plug-ins reduce our oil consumption too much, will there be any reason to fight in the middle east anymore?:(
Will we lose the impetus to bring the Word of God to the middle east?
Will school kids grow up thinking science can solve their problems without God?
Should we reconsider our support for the Volt?

What the %@#& is this post about? What has God, Church, and electric vehicles got to do with each other?
calgaryvolt 04-25-2008, 11:30 AM When will everyone realize that science is the answer!!:p
Mike756 04-25-2008, 11:57 AM WTF does one have to do with the other?
Sentinel 04-25-2008, 12:03 PM I think the whole point is humor.... at least I found it funny :p
god created science and mathematics so that man could prove that god does not exist. discuss.
calgaryvolt 04-25-2008, 01:55 PM god created science and mathematics so that man could prove that god does not exist. discuss.
More likely that the men who could not understand math and science made god.
More likely that the men who could not understand math and science made god.
but how could such perfect and infallible systems such as math and science come into being out of chaos without a supreme consciousness to orchestrate it all? without consciousness, chaos = chaos. it is consciousness that transforms chaos into order.

nuttzy 05-15-2008, 10:53 PM it is consciousness that transforms chaos into order.
The premise is that there is order. Can you prove this?
-Nuttzy
Tagamet 05-20-2008, 12:06 PM This thread is proof that this site is either unmoderated or it has absolutely no standards. This is the first time that I am ashamed of being a member of VoltNation.
The premise is that there is order. Can you prove this?
-Nuttzy
yes. it's called math, science, and the laws of nature. without order, there would be no repeatable phenomena.
nuttzy 05-20-2008, 06:21 PM yes. it's called math, science, and the laws of nature. without order, there would be no repeatable phenomena. Please use math, science, and/or the laws of nature to repeatedly and reliably predict the location of a quantum particle. If you're not familiar with Copenhagen interpretation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copenhagen_interpretation) or Schrödinger's cat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger%27s_cat), I'll spare you the trouble... you can't! Hooray for chaos! Mind you this has absolutely ZERO bearing on whether God exists. That is something truly unknowable and is a matter of faith (which makes sense, b/c it aint supposed to be an easy choice ;))

DaV8or 05-21-2008, 10:24 AM Look, people, the answer is simple. It's 42. That's it. No more thinking required.;)
Will the Volt undermine school prayer? No, but a Tata air car would. Every time one would go by it would make farting sounds and what kid can concentrate on prayer when there are farting sounds going on??:D
Guy Incognito 05-21-2008, 11:11 AM If the Volt and Prius plug-ins reduce our oil consumption too much, will there be any reason to fight in the middle east anymore? That question answers itself.
Will we lose the impetus to bring the Word of God to the middle east? You've got it backwards, the world's oldest religions originate from the middle east. Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all come from the middle east.
Will school kids grow up thinking science can solve their problems without God?Science does'nt solve problems. People solve problems with many tools, one of them is science.
Should we reconsider our support for the Volt?In favor of what?

just because we haven't figured out all of the math behind quantum physics and particle physics doesn't mean there isn't any.
FrayAdjacent 05-23-2008, 07:29 PM This post made me laugh. Srsly.
We're not fighting in the middle east to prosletyze them. We're not fighting in the middle east to take their oil.
