Smith Electric should give Zap a run for their money, because Smith's vehicles look far beefier than Zap's:

Here is an article discussing Smith Electric's product offering and collaboration with Ford:

They should also give Zap a run for their money because I now believe that Zap is as bad as Spark-EV.

I used to be skeptical about Zap also, but this news article seems to imply something different:

I believe they have delivered some vehicles to UPS, who are headquartered real close to Zap, so I expect UPS will lean pretty hard on Zap if they get flaky.

I dunno.. I used to be gung-ho about Zap and even had some stock. Then the stock tanked and it doesn't seem that they are actually doing anything, so maybe I am just bitter about the stock. :)

You're not alone, as some people who tried to set up dealerships with Zap are now suing them:
Zap Dealer Lawsuit (http://www.wired.com/cars/futuretransport/magazine/16-04/ff_zapped)
If you do a search in Google news, you will find articles that state that Zap has actually shipped more EV's than anyother pure EV company.
