"Never mind that many consumers are likely to balk at the minimum $1,000 a home recharging unit would cost, or that Better Place's concept of the shopping mall/movie theatre/ workplace mass recharging centre is based on the rather utopian concept that people will gladly share these electrical outlets."

Not all electric vehicles need $1,000.00 home charging system. Some vehicles can charge on standard 120v...if you need a faster charge, you can use 220v which most homes have (ie dryer).

The author is obviously in need of a good bowel movement.

I was going to totally trash him/her but a good bit of copy is spent bashing Project Better Place so his/her rant is not completely misguided.

I have no idea where he gets the idea that proponents of electric vehicles are without ears, deaf to others smarter than them who know electric cars are doomed to failure.

Bashing is redemptive. How interesting that is.

Right, like the enemy of my enemy is my friend, in a certain way.

Less than two years to go before we see if this guy is a bozo or not. That's when BP will be fully functional in Israel. They already have over 1000 charge points installed and are about to test their swap-station in Yokohama in less than a month. Will the critics start to quiet? We will see.

Thus, we will get to see many new EVs and hybrid EVs start to emerge around the same time. It sure will be interesting to see who wins and who miscalculated the market.
