"The price listed for a Roadster on Tesla's site is $101,500 after tax rebate for purchasing an electric car. If this person can sell the Roadster at $135,000, does it mean that Tesla is actually selling its car at a slight discount?"

Just because the owner of a painting can sell it for $1 million does that mean the painter sold it at a slight discount?

The owner of an item can put any price on it they want. The prospective buyer can then put a bid on that item for whatever they think that item is worth. If the buyer matches what the owner listed the item for or can negotiate a lower price and the owner accepts then the deal can move forward. It has nothing to do with what the item sold for. As I showed, the item could be centuries old! An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Seeings how anyone willing to pay $101,000 obviously is not too worried about penny pinching, they would pay a premium to not have to wait a year to get their Tesla probably. This guy is smart, he probably just bought it to toodle around and impress some people at his high school reunion or something and knew he could sell it for more than he paid for it.

I did that years ago with a Honda S2000 (red :D ). Bought it at MSRP, drove it for 6 months and then sold it on eBay for MSRP + $2k. That was the first year of production and waiting lists were miles long.

Strangely enough, I just walked into a Honda dealership and bought it right off the showroom floor. I guess I got lucky.
