Hi folks,
My suggestion for Canadian models of the Volt is to use Oil filled heaters like the ones we use in our homes.
The oil can be pre-heated at whatever time the user sets for each day. The power to heat the oil comes from the home, then it only takes a tiny amount of power from the batteries to keep the oil hot.
It's easy to implement and highly efficient. Lines/Fins for the oil can be strategically placed throughout the passenger areas front and rear. Then, only a small breeze is required to circulate warm moist air.
If you like my idea, you could award me a Canadian GM-Volt.
Thanks kindly,
Rob Dubois
