I saw the first dealership display of the Volt in Greensburg, Kansas last night. The dealer got to drive it for the first time anywhere.

Here is a link to the story about it in the Dodge City Globe newspaper:

SWEEEEET!

2 years before it goes to production. I hope they give people a heads up before they put them on display at dealerships so we can go see it in person!

So is this an actual mule or just a mock-up?

Most likely one of the the low speed visual mockups they hade made for the centennial. But it at least gets the image out there to the public. There are no integrated full speed actual Volts yet.

Call me crazy, but if they have a working prototype why can't they tool this thing up faster? The Midwest is crawling with toolmakers out of work. 6-8 months should be the outside of a production schedule.
