That's strange. We really need to wait and see what the next president does though. Obama has talked a lot about helping the big three retool to produce the cars of the future. As long as GM doesn't go bankrupt within the next few months I think things will be okay.

Ah. They didn't want tax dollars to fund a merger that would kill tens of thousands of jobs. This doesn't rule out other forms of aid to these companies.
