I'm new to the "electric car" game. What about maintenance?

1. Maintenance schedule? (What needs to be done?)
2. Who is performing the maintenance?
2a. Do I go to my trusted dealer?
2b. Will there be Certification programs available for third party maintenance provider?
2c. Will there be Information available for "home maintainer"? (without costing an arm and a leg)

Will the batteries be user replaceable? (Eventually, the warranty will expire.)

For a while, think in terms of dealer maintenance. The car will be so unusual it will need a maintainer who has GM training and GM parts. Then maybe in a few years everything will be as with other cars.;)

Of course, that places a special burden on the customer, who needs to find a dealer who can give good maintenance. Think of it as finding that one dealer in five who has an exceptionally good service dept.
