Also saw the first election add on the tube this AM waiting for the sports channel. We have a Proposition 7 ballot initiative that increases heavily the requirement for electric power providers to supply "green" power". It is opposed by two of the State's major utilities, PG&E and SCE, Southern California Edison. Ironic in that both power producers have just signed major contracts to purchase solar power from emerging technologies ......... And promised is a Prop 10, the "Big Wind" initiative. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, San Onofre and Diablo Canyon keep running the state's airconditioners. Forecast high today here is 98 F.

And the State is $ 16,000,000,000 yes sixteen billion dollars in the hole.

More thermally efficient buildings would make a huge difference in electricity usage. You probably won't catch the utilities pushing for that though.
