Certainly a dumb question for you but here it is. Just got my volt and still trying to know what to do to activate my radio/gps/MP3 by voice command. I press the phone button on the wheel and I only get phone voice command.

Thanks for the help

Try pressing and holding the Source button on the steering wheel controls. That will activate the voice control for the non-phone stuff. After it activates you'll hear a nice lady tell you to speak after the beep. The radio manual had a list of commands I used to learn what I could say. It took me two months of ownership before I figured this out!

See this thread for a list of voice commands. I've used many of them on my 2011. I do not know if there are more on the 2012-2013s.

Hey thanks guys. That's what happen when you take a car engineer into software stuff...

Hope they won't forget to upgrade their software and increase functionalities along the way !

It took me a while too on getting voice commands to work for me. Will the great help found on this site, I was able to use it. I find however in that to get a successful recognition of my voice, I need to talk in a much faster cadence than I am accustomed to. Sort of like those cell phone commercials where the families are trying to save minutes by talking faster like auctioneers. :)
