I am awaiting delivery of my new Volt. It is sitting at status 3800. Ugh. Having a hard time finding out when it will start the shipping process. Anyone know anything?

This can be a maddeningly slow time but you're close! Having done the ordering process once I'd do it again.

that's a 2013!

I suspect that they may get held for a little while so GM can introduce them together with a flourish once they've built up some production - especially since some dealers are still telling people they can't place orders for 2013s yet...

Here is the history for my recent MY2012 order. Not sure how relevant it is here since the production line is being retooled for the new 2013's.

I remember looking at the gmconnects site several times a day to see if my status moved. This was as bad for me as waiting for Christmas but the wait wait was certainly worth it as I got exactly the car I wanted :)

Your wait is almost over. I have a couple months yet for mine and I have bad Volt anxiety. Looks like you have the 181rst 2013 off the line.

Say WHAT!?!? My 2012 was just built last week. Now they're making 2013s already?

Assuming that's accurate, I'm even MORE glad I leased instead of buying. I'd have model year envy already and I haven't even taken delivery yet.

Yeah. I simply cannot wait. I hope it at least gets loaded onto a railcar today.

Since mine is a 2013 it will definitely come with the 16.5 kwh chemistry correct?

I can't imagine otherwise. It wouldn't really be a MY2013 if it didn't.

Apparently the volt plant is shutdown AGAIN. My volt will not be here until sometime in August. Wish I would have known that. I probably would have done things differently. Very disappointing.

I am so sorry to hear about the delays. It looks like they are holding all 2013 Volts until the plant starts back up. GM is just gonna let them sit on the ground out in the sun for 2 months, instead of ship them to their customers?

I'm in the same boat. My 2013 Volt was built on June 7, 2012 #196 and is stuck in 3800 mode as well. I hope it ships soon!!! I bet our 2 Volts ship the first week of July.
