I saw an article that questioned if that was possible/reasonable. I'm not a techie battery/charger person. So is it possible?

If GM had to back down on the 50MPG that would be some egg in the face...

I thought that once the Volt switched on the gas engine, it would get the equivalent of 150 mpg's..

That's factoring in the 40 miles of AER. After the AER everything I've seen suggests 50mpg.

the 150mpg number is for a 60 mile trip. 40 miles of infinite mpg plus 20 miles of 50mpg range extended.
