Hello you all

just wondering if any one out there uses Deep Cell Batterys in the trucks or car as there main battery
I am thinking about using one in my 1998 Chevy 1/2ton, if any on has any info on why i should not, please post on here

I've read battery articles in RV publications that explain the difference between deep cylcle batteries and automotive starting batteries. Basically the RV batter has fewer but heavier lead plates while the stater battery has more lighter plates. The starter batteries lighter but mor abundant plates gives higher aperage for short periods but don't stand up well to repeated deep discharging. Meanwhile the deep cycle batteries larger lead plates stand up better to deep discharge and recharge cycles but offer less instant heavey load amperage.
