Has anyone ever gotten this message? It comes on every once in a while.

Haven't seen it. The ever handy owner's manual says:

SERVICE PARKING ASSIST
This message displays if there is a problem with the Ultrasonic Front and Rear Parking Assist (UFRPA) system. Do not use this system to help you park. See Ultrasonic Parking Assist on page 9‐38 for more information. See your dealer for service.

You can probably ignore the part about seeing page 9-38, and go directly to "See you dealer for service." You might want to make sure the transponders are clean, but somehow I doubt that's the issue.

Mendenheezy - Did you get this fixed?

I just got this message this morning and spoke with Onstar. They said I have to bring it in to the dealer to have them reset it or call my volt advisor.

Just an FYI for someone in the future. Dealer found one of the sensor gone bad. Have to order one and get it painted. Turnaround time is going to be about 1 week. They also found another code with the AC line, sensor picked up a leak and have to replace it.

If you ever get this message, try re-applying, then properly releasing your park brake.
Even though the PB will automatically release when you shift out of park and try to drive, always try to remember to release your park brake by stepping on the brake pedal and pushing the PB button BEFORE you move.(as outlined in the owners manual)

By the way, if you plug in the car wheil you are in any position other than Park, the PB will apply and will NOT release unless you return the shifter to PArk (where it automatically locks- due to being plugged in)
