I heard from Torklift Central in Kent, Washington today. They are finalizing the fit of the stealth trailer hitch (see this post: http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?10545-Progress-on-trailer-hitch-for-bike-racks-urgently-need-opinions&highlight=stealth+hitch) for the Volt and need a volunteer who can bring his or her Volt in for a day for a final fitting. The fitting will require drilling a 3" hole behind the license plate frame, so the volunteer should be someone who actually wants the hitch. In exchange for the volunteer providing his/her Volt for this final fitting, we'll provide a free hitch and free installation.

If you're interested, please PM me or post here so I can contact you.

I would offer up my own car, but I'm 3,000 miles away on the East Coast.

You have company, me for one. I hope there's someone in the areas who's willing to do this.
