You could always stake out a dealership when the new Volts arrive, follow one home to its new owner and "permanently borrow it".(bring your own plates and fake toyota insignias for your car for a police free ride back to your home state) :) John M.:rolleyes:

So if I live in LA and buy a Volt, and then want to drive it to Denver, what am I to do if I need service while on the road?????

I think they mean Washington state, not DC. All they said in the article was that Washington would be picked for political reasons and everyone assumed that it was DC. But, we have some key players in Washington state that might be what he was referring to.

I wish I could tell you how many computer systems I have had to repair, where the owners said the same thing......

Lets not forget that we are talking about some serious volts/amps cabling and some very high tech electronics tied into those systems.

Without complete documentation, diagnostic equipment, and training, I sure would not go poking around in those systems blind!

And where exactly do you think you are going to get parts, should GM restrict them to "GM authorized" dealarships only?????
