I'm going with the leaf now. How come the leaf can sell much cheaper than the Volt. I wanted an American car, but they lost me on the pricing. Yes, it matters. GM never changed from its pre bankruptcy days. They just don't get it.

The price is too high.

I'll keep driving my Nissan Titan at 17MPG, at 100,000 more miles at $4 a gallon, it will only cost me $23,000 in fuel and I have 305 horses.

GM can sit in spin. So much for my next vehicle will be a volt magnet I have. Remove me from the list of want to buy buyers.

The Leaf looks better for the price.

sigh.

So very disappointed after all this time. This is not a price for the average American! I was so hoping for less than 30K after the tax credit! And I can't imagine the 2nd or 3rd generation will decrease in price. Now I seriously have to check other options now!

"Taking the $7500 tax credit into account the net cost to the buyer will thus be $33,500".

And if I I pay less than $7500 do I get a refund?

The three dealerships I called in Michigan were all charging MSRP and they backed this up as I have order in hand at MSRP. I've had a hard time finding and gouging going on in MI. Yet we (MI) have to wait until Mar 2011....dont get it.
