This is HUGE News!!! The pressure now is definitely on GM to build the VOLT on time and look toward mass marketing it. GM should seriously think like Tesla in collaborating with companies that are engineering all electric drive trains like the company it did business with in the past to build their EV1 Electric Car which was AC Propulsion and AeroViroment and engineer a “EV2 All Electric Car” The publicity this would give GM would be HUGE. GM should consider what Toyota is planning on eventually doing which is engineering ALL their car models to HYBRIDS.

I would like to see GM prevail over Toyota with the VOLT, an EV2 ALL ELECTRIC Car, and their other car models engineered to be PLUG IN HYBRIDS with Volt Technology in the very near future. If this happens it’s like Deja Vous all over again (and again). GM makes a sort of EV, Nissan is making an EV (just for the masses this time), Toyota responds with their EV. The only missing player at this point is Honda. Hello again 90′s! At least most will be for sale this time around.

This is such great news.
I was worried about Tesla, their only product so far available is a rich boy’s plaything rather than an electric vehicle for the masses.
This changes all that.
