I don't know where you get your facts at but you should know that some of us works in DOT and we get to have access for all transportation problems (including recalls done by NHTSA or by the manufacture). The only common problem with Prius is their fuel bladder system but for the new 2010 Prius they don't use that bladder component anymore. Comparing this problem with GM's and Ford's complaint regarding truck fire or parking break failure that results in many death and home fire. Prius is a pretty reliable car.
