It's happening now and unless you're blind, it's happening to you, your friends and your families. Enjoy the few benefits that will bring. Cheaper cars is one of them. LOL!

The petroleum industry will call in a lot of markers if they see electric auto as a threat.The reality is if the oil infrastructure were to collapse so would our economy. BYD would be better served build their distribution from the ground up or buy another offshore auto like Mitsubishi to keep from getting tied up North American politics. That said, the electrification of the auto will change the world. I hope Ford, Chrysler and GM can figure that out. If not they will no longer exist. I wouldn't care if BYD purchassed Saturn as long as they keep building cars in the USA. Maybe that could be part of the deal as I think GM and the government have something to say about the deal.
