I have just received official confirmation from GM that Chevron/Cobasys has nothing to do with the Chevy Volt, the source article of the last post was incorrect in that assertion.

I wondered why the Gm Hybrid Vue, Aura and Malibu dried up. Looks like Cobasys has not been delivering the batteries on time or at all.

Whhhheeeew!
Couldn’t imagine Chevron being involved could of been anything but suppresion!
Chevron setup your Head quarters in Dubai, drill for your oil in the middle east, and sell it in india & china.
Don’t let the door hit you in the Ass!

Thanks for this correction, Lyle. Once again we’re reminded that GM executives read these posts; in fact, one reason I post here, as well as at GM Fastlane & GMnext, is in the hope someone at a decision-making level at GM will see my posts!

#4 Mark H. - I also wondered why the Aura/Malibu hybrids dried up as I planned to buy one when my current car’s lease expires in April. I’d hoped to get one to hold me over until the Volt is available & also wanted my auto dollars to support the manufacturer developing the Volt. Still, the 4 cylinder Aura/Malibu gets good mileage so all this information has helped me decide to go with that.
Thanks for keeping us informed, Lyle. Love this site.
#7 - Joy It’s a wonderful car (the Aura Hybrid.) Put in an order now if you want one in April.

Joy, I highly recommend the Aura Hybrid. It is really really a nice car and good on mpg. I had driven the Hybrid Camry and I personally, I personally prefer the Aura over the Camry..

Apparently the Car Connection isn’t particularly well acquainted with either cars or their connections. Other than that …

Speaking of Mules, I’ve got a fantastic mix of country roads and interstate highways in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (and a Governor who REALLY wants to push Green tech)
