Very interested in reading this site. Can’t wait to see EVs on roads. I’ve decided not to buy another gas car even though mine is 13 years old.

But better understand these cars before buying one. It seems to me the battery is a focus in all topics and 5 major players in the field (for now).

What about the electric motors. I’d assume motors as as important as engines in gas cars. Why I do not see who is good in making electric motors? Also how the power control systems work so that the milage is optimized?

Great job Lyle! I love the cooperative and friendly atmosphere of this site. It’s great that word is spreading. I just hope that this site doesn’t draw the attention of some trolls that have been attacking green auto sites.

I would certainly go to any rally. I will retire in 2010, and, with any luck get a Chevy Volt soon after. Yesterday my son was telling me about the glass roof on the concept car. I asked him how he knew that and he said one of his friends had seen it in Boys Life magazine; so the kids are starting to talk about it at school. I would love to be able to take my son to A Volt rally. Man, retirement and the the Volt! That is going to be a heck of a year!

I will buy the first production electric plug-in or plug-in hybrid available even if it costa more. Why does GM wait for batteries when they already exist? GM can improve the cars later while producing it now.

I get all of my household energy from PV panels and will plug in my car for zero energy pollution.
